You clean your glassware with what?!? You can’t be serious! Dirty glassware needs to disappear in restaurants, bars, pubs, and other establishments! You can’t disrespect a perfectly brewed beer by pouring it in a dirty pint! Would you eat a prime New York Strip off a plate that still had residue from leftovers because it wasn’t washed properly? Your glassware may look nice and shiny, but it does not mean a beer should be poured in it! A “beer clean” glass is the first step to pouring a fulfilling beer! “Beer clean” is a term used to describe a glass that is free of impurities, oil, residue, and other crud! When a pint is considered “beer clean” a ring of lacy goodness will appear around the glass. The two pictures represent a “beer clean” pint. When “beer clean” is mentioned at an establishment, it means damn clean!

A dirty glass can affect the overall look and flavor of a wonderful brewed beer. Serving a beer in a dirty glass will make the beer taste soapy, flat, or just plain off. Disrespecting a breweries perfectly crafted beer by pouring it in a dirty glass is flat out rude! Breweries take pride in their craft of beer and establishments should take pride in serving a wonderfully brewed beer.

Simply throwing glassware in a dishwasher will not cut it if we are talking “beer clean”. Most likely, after washing glassware in the dishwasher, there will still be residue and film on your glass.
